Love Was Always the Lesson
Love will save the world 💞
I looked for heroes through the years, Through voices brave and hearts sincere In those who stood through pain and flame, Yet answered hatred not the same Robin Williams taught warmth through joy and grace, A light that can never be erased Martin Luther King Jr. dreamed aloud, Of human worth beyond the crowd Nelson Mandela bore chains yet still forgave, And showed how mercy can be brave Mother Teresa held the weak and poor, And gave her life to something more Mahatma Gandhi walked with peaceful hands, Refusing hate’s endless demands And though my faith may differ still, I love the truths that Jesus filled To love the lost, forgive the wrong, To lift the weak and help them grow strong To see ourselves in every face, No matter color, creed, or place Because perhaps the clearest art, Is learning how to keep a heart - So open that it chooses love, When fear would push the soul to shove And maybe all these voices knew, The world begins inside of you For when we love with something true, The good in life comes shining through

“For when we love with something true,
The good in life comes shining through”
This is so beautiful. Love is the way and is the strongest super power against all the hurt and the fear of this modern world. It’s apt that May the 4th has just passed which, for me, epitomises how love can overcome the coldest of hearts ❤️❤️❤️
beautiful!
