Whoa, that is great stuff. I love how Corin gets to come home too, book and all, with nobody left behind. And whoanelly. The bit where Elara says Lyra's name got me right in the chest, bam. Thanks for writing this!

April, “The wound no longer needs its guardians” gives this installment its deepest turn: healing changes the calling of those who survived by watching the wound. The door arrives only after the Sanctuary can release them, which makes freedom feel less like escape and more like permission to resume lives interrupted by pain. Elara carrying Corin’s book through the threshold keeps homecoming communal, even for the one whose journey remains unfinished. Thank you for giving release, remembrance, and reunion such vivid emotional weight.
