She’s Made of Wonder
For my youngest daughter. The one the loves everyone. Humans and animals.
She walks as if the world’s her friend, Certain every hurt she can mend She does not pass the lonely by, She sees the quiet ones and tries In her small hands, the world feels wide, With room for everyone inside No heart too strange, no soul too far, She loves people just as they are She fills the room with song and spin, With dancing feet and joyful grin Halfway through one sparkling thought, She’s chasing twenty more she caught She paints with colors wild and bright, Turns ordinary into light And every new thing that she learns, Becomes a little star that burns She asks big questions, laughs out loud, Finds magic hidden in a crowd A heart so open, pure, and light, She makes the whole world feel more bright And someday when she’s older still, Past every dream she plans to fulfill I hope she never has to hide, The glowing wonder she carries inside Because the rarest souls on earth, Do not need noise to prove their worth But those who make all people see, How beautiful this life can be

This is calling to my younger self 🫶🏻
These are so incredible. I tear up each time I read one of your pieces. It reminds me of my little people before the teen years when they needed me more and sassed me a little less 💕🥹
