I especially enjoyed how the deadline becomes almost a character, pulling up a chair because it knows the routine. What a phenomenal, laugh-out-loud line. You have written the official anthem for everyone who has ever sat down to work and ended up self-teaching an entirely new hobby instead. You don't need 'pretty words' when the rhythm and the observational humor are this sharp. A magnificent, wonderfully fun piece of writing.
My pleasure. Yes I have a really hard time with deadlines. My son gets so mad at me too for not planning things. I procrastinate on that too. Like my trip to Niagara. It was very last second planning even though I’ve known I was going for a year now.
